TIELLEDI'-TELECOMMUTING AN OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN

This project, promoted by SIT, seeks to contribute to solving the problems encountered by women in entering the job market, by:

§           developing a sense of flexibility by opening a dialog on telecommuting involving the regions, cities, social parties, etc., and the target groups involved;

§           developing a sense of equal opportunity;

§           providing guidance and consulting for women participating in the project and, more generally, for women who intend to join the labor market, especially through telecommuting;

§           making telecommuting popular among women so as to meet their needs in terms of greater flexibility in schedules, access conditions, organization, and the duration and content of telecommuting work.

In order to achieve these goals, the project includes training, research, seminars involving the international partners, the creation of a European manual for telecommuting and a CD-ROM to promote the spread of good practices, and an information window on the Internet.
