eWork is dependant on eSkills. We at ECDL are in the business of preparing people with eSkills for full participation in the Information Society one facete of which is eWork. Initiatives like eW² help all of our organisations focus on the great opportunities that can be captured in the Knowledge Based Economy for those companies that embrace the information and communication technologies associated with eWork. Jim Friars 11 Rue
de L'Industrie 1 August 2000 To whom it may concern, The European Regional Information Society Association is pleased to offer its support to e-Work Week (eW²). With one of the objectives of e-Work Week being the hosting of events in the regions, eris@ members will be taking advantage of this and will make every effort to host events during the week in question (30th October and 7th November). EW² is an important initiative in the field of the Information Society and in promoting new ways of working. Eris@ is pleased to be able to support this initiative and wishes the organisers every success. Yours sincerely, Bill Macbeth ISdAC International Association As an organisation of and for People with a Disability (PwD) and former Telework Award Winner, ISdAC International Association supports the eW2 initiative in promoting new ways of working and highlighting the possibilities to the world. We are fully convinced that by exploiting these new possibilities to their full extent, PwD will be able to participate on an equal basis within the IS, and will be able to show their capabilities to the world without first having to face the 'traditional' barriers of society. Therefore any event in this regard addressing Europe for support has our full co-operation. Tony Verelst |
