Emergence - estimation and mapping of employment relocation in a global e-economy.

Euro-Telework - Euro-Telework has brought together organisations in all 15 member states of the EU, plus Norway, to encourage social dialogue and provide useful information for those involved in that dialogue at local, national or European levels. The project has been co-ordinated by the European Trade Union Confederation, ETUC, and focuses particularly on the needs of worker representatives and their organisations.

SANE- has developed a unified framework for the design of a sustainable workplace.

SEAMATE - Socio-Economic Analysis and Macro-modelling of Adapting to Information Technologies in Europe. The objective of this project is to make estimates, for the first time at a EU level, of the socio-economic impact of IST on the EU-15, Norway and Switzerland, founded on a dynamic macroeconomic analysis covering the EU countries and Switzerland with detailed treatment of industrial sectors. It will assess impacts on consumers/households, government and industry, with special consideration of the access of individuals to IST, the issue of ‘info-exclusion’.

STILE -STatistics and Indicators on the Labour market in the E-Economy

STAR - examining the socio-economic impacts of new technologies with specific reference to economic and employment opportunities.

SusTel A 2002-2004 research project on teleworking financed by the European Commission's IST initiative. It aimed to:

  • enhance understanding of the economic, environmental and social impacts of teleworking
  • identify ways in which these can be influenced by organizations and Governments
  • develop tools and guidance materials to enable organizations to evaluate and optimize the sustainability of teleworking initiatives.

TERRA 2000 scenarios for the ways in the Networked Society might evolve and their implications for sustainability.
