Denmark

4 and 12 November:

Two courses on telework, covering what it is, how telework operates, which technical facilities are necessary, how the role of managers is developing, social aspects, etc. The courses are aimed at both the private and public sectors, with specific modules for each, and also consider employment agreements, regional development aspects and labour market changes in both a Danish and European context. The courses are being offered by the European Business Centre in Aarhus on 4 November  and in Copenhagen on 12 November.

5 November:

Open meeting of telework activists and business in Aarhus, East Jutland on the theme of “Companies and telework”. Jointly organised by Aarhus Business

A series of events in the County of Storstroem designed to increase awareness and take-up of telework. Contact person is Harald Jensen:

3 November:

Kick-off telework conference bringing together all local and some national actors.

4-6 November:

Local events, including visits by the education bus, open house events, etc., in four districts: Praestoe, Moen, Fakse and Vordingborg.

7-8 November:

Practical demonstrations of telework by experienced teleworkers: Naestved. In addition to above, press and on-line campaigns are planned.

1-2 December:

Two day conference on "Distance work - is it the road to improved effectiveness and increased job satisfaction?", in Copenhagen, organised by IIR and with inputs from ETD-Denmark.
