A teleworking conference for the insurance industry will take place Nov. 3rd and 4th, containing a workshop on the technology for teleworking and teleworkers especially. for the target audience insurance companies run by TA Telearbeit under the umbrella of ETW'97.
The whole conference called 'Telearbeit in Versicherungen - personelle, rechtliche, organisatorische und technische Rahmenbedingungen' is organized by Management Circle.

Here we expect to have a video-link via one ISDN-Line (we are going to use a PictureTel PCS100 system) to remotely attend the ceremony and to give a short presentation and view into our 'virtual office' in Bochum.
We will be available there throughout the whole day. It is possible that a separate open session running in a side room will be arranged so that people can come in and out.

It is a federal initiative to support and fund the introduction of telework for SMEs ('Foerderrichtlinie
Telearbeit im Mittelstand) and was launched in march 1997 by the same ministry (BMBF) together with
the Deutsche Telekom.
Its goal is to help up to 5000 SMEs with a total budget of about 10MECU to become teleworking enterprises as soon as possible. |
