Award Categories

1 Best Contribution To European Competitiveness
Real (operational) telework implementation, not a project or trial

2 Best Advertising Campaign
Single or multiple advertisements related to telework on or after Jan 1st 1997.

3 Most Entrepreneurial Use Of Telework.
A telework implementation, adding significant value to an entrepreneurial endeavour.

4 Most Innovative Use Of Technology
Implementation or promotion programme using current or new technology

5 Best Public Initiative
Implementation, promotion, technological solution, legislative or regulatory action

6 Best Contribution To European Sustainability
As above but in terms of environmental or social outcomes

7 Best Single Article Or Programme
On telework or closely associated topic, broadcast or published on or after 1/197.

Procedures

• Submit an outline of the submission
  (approx. 7 x A4 pages) 4000 word except categories 2 & 7.
• Submit original materials and translation only categories 2 & 7.
• Submit a Poster for exhibition at Telework 98 Lisbon
• Initial short listing on September 28th in Lisbon
• Final Evaluation Judges, Award attendees, Public

Outline

• Outline of approximately 7 pages should include
• Category chosen (1-7)
• An advertising poster which should be A1 size, and contain:name and logo of project or company,category title, a brief description of the project and objectives, bullets of achievements and contact points.
• Title of the activity or project
• Short description of activity 200 words (suitable for press releases etc.)
• Participants in the activity, companies, groups, associations etc.
• Target Groups – industry, private, disadvantaged, etc.
• Objectives – why has the activity been initiated, what did it hope to achieve.
• Achievements – what has the activity achieved with as much quantification as possible.
• Detailed description of activity

 Original Material

• Copies of original materials (articles, papers, videos, posters, and advertisements) etc.
• A translation or transcript in English if necessary.
• Permission to make copies for evaluation purposes, and for public display (inc. www)
• Information on Dates, times, publications, circulation, or viewing audience.

Posters For Lisbon

All should submit a poster, but it is not obligatory. It should be
considered as advertising the attributes of your activity so it should be eyecatching if possible.

Shortlist

• Submissions by e-mail or post to Co-ordination Centre by Wednesday,   September 16
• Hand delivery of hardcopy to Reception - Telework 98, Lisbon, 17:00 (5pm) Wednesday,  September 23
• Shortlist announcement September 25
• 3 in Each category

Final Evaluation

• Expert Panel of Judges
  relative weight 1
• Public voting where applicable
  relative weight 0.5
• Audience voting where applicable
  relative weight 0.5

Telework Awards Event

By Invitation Only

• 5 minutes presentation for 5 categories
• Display presentation for 2 categories
