Contact details: Rainer Pollmann Due to the fact that telework is an accepted, interesting and quite known concept in Germany and the Telework Award 97 went well for us too, I hope and assume that there will be even more awareness about ETW98 and the European Telework Award (if there is a second award round this year, hopefully). It should be possible to increase the existing contacts (esp. the press related ones) and to find more sponsors for the event this year. |

For all the people interested in Telework ETW represents a wonderful occasion for understanding more and appreciate this innovative way of work. Thank to ETW97 millions of common citizens, policy makers and managers in Italy entered in touch with the concept of Telework. They understood that Europe can win the challenge: working in the Information Society will bring us more prosperity, competitiveness and satisfaction. In 1998 ETW in Italy will adopt the slogan "Telework from experiments to the market" because it is our firm intention to spread telework in all type of firms: large one as well SMEs. |
Kitty de Bruin is the Chairman of the Dutch Telework Platform, and has been very active, for several years, in the promotion of telework in the private and public sector. The Platform is successful at involving industry and administrations in positive actions to increase awareness and implementation of telework in the Netherlands. The Dutch Telework Awards were introduced 3 years ago and were the inspiration for its European counterpart. Telework Week is first and foremost an opportunity to focus national attention on Telework issues, and each year Kitty organises a strong focussed programme which does just that. |
