Webcast Your Event

Webcasting is a low cost technology that allows anyone with a browser to gain multimedia access to live events and archives of events. It combines near CD quality sound, with a video image that gives a reasonable impression of what is going on.

All that is required to capture the event at source is a PC with a video capture card linked to a home video camera and a communications link into the internet, preferably via a 64k ISDN line, but a 28.8k line will also be adequate.

There has been significant interest in arranging such facilities for events. There are insufficient resources to send camera crews to all events, but we invite those interested in webcasting their events to participate to a one-day workshop to be organised in September to come to grips with the techniques and technology.

If you would like more information on this workshop please contact
Paddy Mondroit at  webcasters@btinternet.com

ETW coordination will provide access to the appropriate servers and software during ETW’98 for “not-for-profit events” on a cost only basis.. If you would like more information on webcasting for your event, please contact  Raymond Basteels by e-mail at rbasteels@etw.org

Webcast facilities are being made availble by Alfacord Webcasting
You can register your interest in webcasting your event by following this link.
